For a taste of Mexico, Residents visit Salsa Verdes on Palos Verdes Drive West. They serve lunch and dinner and provide catering and private events with indoor and outdoor dining. Start your dinner with the traditional House Nachos and follow them up with the Enchiladas de Carne or Chile Rellenos.
With Palos Verdes Music Salon, you can bring the concert home. They host concerts in private homes throughout the peninsula. At the Lobby Bar & Terrace in Rancho Los Verdes, you can sit by the fireplace and sample a Japanese whiskey flight while listening to live music. The Palos Verdes Performing Arts and its Norris Theatre have a mix of concerts, shows, and conservatory workshops on their stage. Adults and families can attend performances ranging from Queen tribute concerts to musicals, like West Side Story. They provide beginner through advanced dance and theater classes for the area’s youth.
You can shop at the Lunada Bay Plaza, a neighborhood market with local produce and locally-owned restaurants. Annie’s Boutique is a stylish women’s clothing store in the plaza. Things to Do
At the Palos Verdes Shoreline Preserve the beach and bluffs are flanked by the Lunada Bay to one side and Bluff Cove to the other. You can take a picnic to the park or hike one of the many trails connecting to the Preserve. For plant lovers, the South Coast Botanic Garden is less than 10 minutes from downtown. It is home to more than 30 collections and offers audio tours in addition to exhibits and classes.
Palos Verdes Estates is also known as the home of the Neighborhood Church, a stunning 1920’s Italian villa with two Sunday services and a beautiful venue for weddings. Another beautiful wedding venue is the Palos Verdes Golf Club, where they also host events, offer club memberships, and provide dining.
